No matter your interest we have a spot for you! Volunteer within a focus area that interests you, where your skill sets or passions are best utilized.
Together, we’re working to build stronger, more connected communities by:
- Organizing and empowering communities within a 50-mile radius of Chattanooga who want to have a voice in this current political climate. Examples include assisting UTC students in developing their grass roots organizational skills, and have also supported the formation of new Indivisible chapters in deep red areas.
- Standing beside organizations and families speaking up about their kidnapped loved ones, raising awareness, and funds to support their legal expenses, and assisting in providing relief support awareness.
- Building meaningful relationships within marginalized communities throughout Chattanooga and the surrounding region. Including working for or in the Latino/Hispanic communities, LGBTQIA+ community, unhoused, and those facing food insecurity. This is done through partnering in events and fund raisers, volunteering during impactful projects, hosting fund raisers, and having regular conversations with those doing the work.
- Taking action on local political issues that directly impact our neighbors and communities from the 287g contract, mental health services in our schools, asking tough questions of our County Commissioners and City Council members, same for our Senators and Reps, and much more.
- Supporting progressive and Democratic campaigns working towards improving our communities and our personal lives. We do so by sharing our volunteer workforce, perhaps our most valuable asset, in everything from canvassing, placing signs, phone and text banking, and postcard writing.
Every conversation, every event, and every volunteer helps strengthen our movement. Together, we can create lasting change. Join us as we work toward a more just, inclusive, and empowered future for our communities.
Mission Statement 2026
Indivisible TAG supports regional Indivisible chapters, marginalized communities, and communities seeking guidance in and around our area through coordinated action, leadership development, and initiatives that advance lasting systemic change. We utilize strategies based on the Indivisible Project while partnering with and working beside local organizations.
This is the spirit of community, united with the resolve for a better world for future generations.
